It's straightforward — we'll arrange a convenient time to visit your property, take accurate measurements of the space, assess the sub-floor condition, and note anything like doorways, alcoves or thresholds that might affect the job. We'll also talk through what you're looking for and, where possible, bring relevant samples along so you can start thinking about your options. You'll leave the visit with a clear, accurate estimate and no obligation to proceed.

For most rooms it's a fairly quick visit — typically 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size and complexity of the space. Larger projects or whole-property quotes may take a little longer. We'll always make sure we've covered everything before we leave so there are no surprises further down the line.

Absolutely not. Our site visits are completely free and no-obligation. We're happy to measure, advise and estimate with no expectation that you'll go ahead — and no pressure if you decide not to. We'd rather you make the right decision for you than feel rushed into anything.

If you bring a sample I like, how do I proceed? Just let us know — either on the day or afterwards. We can provide a full quote based on your measurements and chosen product, and talk you through next steps including lead times and installation. There's no rush, and we're happy to leave samples with you if you'd like to live with them for a day or two before deciding.

Please don't — come and see us first! We stock an extensive range across every category and price point, far more than we could ever bring to a single visit. Pop into the showroom and we'll help you find something you love. We'd much rather spend time finding the right product for you than lose you to a competitor over a sample bag.

It helps if you have a rough idea — carpet, wood, LVT, tile and so on — but it's certainly not essential. If you're undecided, just let us know when you book and we'll bring a broader selection of samples. Our surveyors are experienced at helping customers work out what's right for a space, so don't worry if you're not sure where to start.

Absolutely — that's one of the most valuable parts of the visit. Once we've seen the space, the sub-floor, the light, and understood how the room is used, we're in a much better position to make a genuine recommendation. Whether it's a busy hallway, a damp utility room or a holiday let that needs to be practical and stylish, we'll give you honest advice based on experience.

Yes, you're welcome to purchase flooring from us and arrange your own installation. We'll make sure you have everything you need including accurate quantities and any accessories. That said, we think our installation teams are pretty good — so if you'd like a quote for fitting too, just ask and we'll include it.

Your visit will be carried out by one of our experienced surveyors — not a salesperson. They're there to measure accurately, answer your questions and help you think through your options.
