Planning your free flooring measure

A free measure is a chance to discuss your rooms, flooring choices and the work involved. Here is what is useful to prepare and ask.

You do not need to choose a floor before getting in touch. Tell us which rooms you want to change, where the property is and whether you have a deadline. We can discuss a suitable time for a visit.

Show us the rooms

Include adjoining spaces, stairs and areas where the new floor meets another material. Room photographs and approximate dimensions are helpful when you first enquire, even though fitting needs the actual space to be measured.

Mention the existing floor

Let us know about loose boards, uneven areas, recent building work or moisture concerns. Ask what preparation may be needed and whether further checks are required before a final specification can be agreed.

Talk through the fitting details

Ask about doors, thresholds, furniture and access. If you need old flooring removed, discuss that too. Agree what is included in the work and what needs to be ready before fitting starts.

Understand the quote

Check which flooring and underlay have been allowed for, the preparation and fitting costs, and any other agreed work. Ask about availability, payment terms and how long the quote is valid.

If you have samples or colours in mind, have them ready to discuss. For questions about the visit or available dates, contact our Wadebridge or Falmouth showroom.
